Coaching
Who benefits from grant coaching?
- Grant writers who are newer to their roles and/or work with a supervisor who does not have grant-specific experience
- Development leaders who manage or supervise grants work and want to build their skills around institutional fundraising
- Executives of smaller nonprofits who are very involved in grants or are actively planning to build their team’s grant staffing
Why Coaching?
Finding high-value professional development for mid-level and experienced grant writers can be tricky. Beginning grant professionals learn essential skills from courses, conferences, and colleagues. But often the challenge comes in applying those grant skills to an organization’s very specific context and resources.
Before launching my consulting practice in 2019, I developed a wide range of experience in nonprofit staff roles. I understand the internal dynamics that factor into true grant readiness, foundation fundraising strategy, and cultivation practices – in addition to actual proposal writing.
What does coaching look like?
We can tailor a plan that works for you and your team. Coaching typically includes a blend of:
- Coaching calls, whether 1:1 or with a small team
- Audit of internal processes to identify where teams can gain efficiency
- Proposal reviews for higher-level content improvements (rather than line editing)
- Thought partnership around grant strategy and prospecting, to identify areas of opportunity for growth
Coaching packages start at $1,500. Schedule a free 30-minute consultation call to learn more.
